Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of thinktanks.co, including the project demos at demo.thinktanks.co and the website assistant. By using the website you accept them. If you don’t, please don’t use it.
01Who we are
The website is run by ThinkTanks Collective. You can reach us at hello@thinktanks.co.
02Using the website
You may use the website to find out about us and our projects, try the demos, and get in touch. Please don’t:
- use it for anything unlawful, or to send spam, malware or anything offensive;
- try to get into parts of the website, the demos or our systems you aren’t meant to, or to disrupt them (including by automated scraping or by attacking the assistant to make it misbehave);
- copy the website’s content or our projects for commercial use without our permission (see below);
- pretend to be someone else when you contact us.
We may suspend access for anyone who does. The members’ area at members.thinktanks.co is for members of the collective and our clients; using it is covered by the agreement you have with us.
03Our content and projects
The website and what is on it, including the text, design, logos, project write-ups, images and demos, belong to ThinkTanks Collective or to the people we work with, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may view and share links to it, and print or save pages for your own reference. Anything else, such as reusing our content, our name or our logos, needs our written permission.
Projects shown on this website are owned by the collective, by the members who built them, or by organisations that have adopted or bought them. Showing a project here doesn’t give you any right to use its code, name or design.
04Information, demos and the assistant
We work to keep the website accurate, but it is general information about our work, not advice, and things change: a project’s stage, features or availability may be different by the time you read about it.
Demos are there to show how a project works. They run on sample data, may be reset at any time, and may not reflect the finished product. Please don’t enter real personal or business information into them.
The assistant is an AI. It can get things wrong, it doesn’t make offers or agreements on our behalf, and nothing it says about prices, timescales or terms binds us. Questions you leave for the team are answered by people.
05Working with us
Sending us an enquiry, or offering to build, buy, adopt or join a project, doesn’t create a contract. Any work, sale, licence or collaboration is scoped with you and only goes ahead under a separate written agreement, which then takes precedence over these terms.
If you send us ideas, we will treat them with care, but unless we agree otherwise in writing, sending an idea doesn’t create any obligation for either of us, and we may already be working on something similar.
06Links to other websites
Links to other websites, including live products built by the collective that are run by others, are there for convenience. We aren’t responsible for those websites or their content.
07Our responsibility to you
We provide the website free of charge and “as available”. We can’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change or withdraw any part of it.
If you use the website as a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms don’t affect. If you use it for business, we aren’t responsible for any loss of profit, revenue, business, data or opportunity, or for any indirect loss, arising from your use of the website, the demos or the assistant.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t lawfully be limited or excluded.
08Your information
How we handle information you give us is explained in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
09Changes and the law that applies
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on the website when you use it applies.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still do so later.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
