Cookie Policy
Short version: ThinkTanks uses no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, so there is nothing to accept or turn off. This page lists the few things this website does store in your browser, all of which are needed for something you asked it to do.
01What is stored, and why
Cookies and similar technology (such as your browser’s “local storage”) are small pieces of information a website keeps in your browser. UK law lets websites use them without asking when they are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for. Everything below is in that category.
| Name | What it is | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
ttcn_chat_v1 |
Local storage | Remembers your conversation with the website assistant so it carries on across pages. Only set once you use the assistant. | 7 days, or until you press “Start a new conversation” |
wordpress_test_cookie, wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_… |
Cookies | Keep our team signed in. Only set if you sign in at /login, which is for the ThinkTanks team. | Until you sign out, or up to 14 days if you tick “Remember me” |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Set by Cloudflare | The “are you human” check on our forms may store a little information in your browser to tell people from automated spam. | Short-lived; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy |
02What we don’t use
No Google Analytics or other analytics tools, no advertising or social media tracking pixels, and no cookies that follow you to other websites. We count project page views and demo clicks on our own server, per project and per day, without cookies and without IP addresses.
Some icons on this website load from Cloudflare’s content network, and our social media links take you to those platforms, which have their own cookie policies once you are there.
03Controlling them
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser’s settings. The website will still work; the assistant just won’t remember your conversation between pages, and the team won’t stay signed in.
If we ever add cookies that aren’t strictly necessary, we will ask you first and update this page. More about how we handle your information is in the Privacy Policy. Questions: hello@thinktanks.co.
